Your information at Rover Yard.
This notice describes the Rover Yard website and the marketplace features as they become available. Rover Yard uses information to run accounts, publish listings, deliver conversations, handle support, and understand site usage.
What is public
Your listing title, description, photos, price, general location, display name, and public profile information are visible to visitors. Do not put your home address, identity documents, private contact information, or other sensitive details in a public listing or photo.
Accounts and conversations
Clerk handles sign-in and account credentials. Rover Yard stores a linked profile and the listing, conversation, review, and support information you submit. Conversations are available to their participants. The operator can access necessary service data to maintain the platform, investigate abuse, and respond to support requests.
Services we use
Vercel hosts the website and image storage, Render hosts the API and database, and Clerk provides authentication. These providers process information to deliver their services. Their systems may process information outside your country.
Browser storage and analytics
Sign-in uses essential authentication storage. Saved searches are stored in your browser until you remove them or clear site data. The listing builder keeps its current form in memory. We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate traffic measurements. Our analytics integration omits private account routes and removes search text, locations, and other arbitrary URL parameters before sending page views. We do not send message contents or account identifiers as analytics events.
Retention and requests
Removing a listing hides it from the marketplace while retaining related conversations and moderation history. You can edit your public profile and listings. To request access to or deletion of your account data, choose “Privacy or account data” in support. We may retain information needed to address abuse, disputes, or applicable obligations. Provider backups may retain copies for a limited period under their retention policies.
Do not send passwords, payment card details, or identity documents in a support request.
